Happy Star Wars Day by Lee Millard

Happy Star Wars Day!

To celebrate, here's a throwback from 1999 when I painted Darth Maul on a closet door. 23 years later I still think it looks decent. The door was eventually auctioned off to benefit the Bloomsburg Children's Museum. Additionally, here are two articles from Bloomsburg's Press Enterprise and Bloomsburg University's student paper, The Voice.

Interactive Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline by Lee

Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline

Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline

I've been working on a side project for some time now and I'm happy to release it into the world. I love all of the movies, shows, and shorts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) canon and wanted to create an interactive chronological timeline for them. I originally intended to use Articulate Storyline 2 because of their great new slider feature, but that quickly went downhill because of the shear pain on creating hundreds of separate images and triggers. I then moved on to Adobe Edge Animate and quickly fell in love. It was such a great experience to both learn that one software didn't live up to my expectations for a certain application and another I got to experiment and learn for the first time. The timeline includes Phases 1 and 2 of the MCU and is not yet responsive or adaptive (I will be working on that part later). It's best viewed on a screen resolution of 720 x 1280. Click here to experience the timeline for yourself and then click here to find out more about my design and development process.

Now showing until November 21 at The Stairwell Gallery at the Moose Exchange's The Antler is Cover of a Comic. This show features over 50 artworks by local artists inspired by comic books, graphic novels, and comics characters. Sponsored by our friends at Legendary Comics and Tea Room. I have a piece in the show titled "MURICA!" that is acrylic on wood. This was a piece created just for this show and the second that I used raw chipboard as one of the main visual elements in it. I really liked how it turned out and maybe they'll be more to come like this. You can see it in the photo from the reception tonight below.
